AFLATOKSİN M1
Aflatoxin M1, is a toxic metabolite of aflatoxin B1. It is normally excreted in the urine and also the milk of dairy cattle and other lactating mammals. Due to the high toxicity of aflatoxin M1, the European Community established the maximum level of 0.05µg/kg for aflatoxin M1 in liquid milk. In case of infant and follow-on milk the limit is 0.025µg/kg. This limits is also applicable to milk products which are dried or processed, taking into account the concentration caused by the drying process or by processing. By the other side, the Codex Alimentarius and FDA has established an acceptable level of risk at 0. 5µg/kg for aflatoxin M1 in fluid milk.
Principle of the analysis: Competitive enzyme immunoassay
Applications: Raw milk, milk powder, cheese
Standard curve range: 5-250 ng/l
Detection limits:

Raw milk, milk powder: 0.005 ppb(µg/kg)
Cheese: 0.037 ppb(µg/kg)
Firm cheese (alternatif metot): 0.120 ppb(µg/kg)

Measuring range:

Raw milk, milk powder: 0.005-0.250 ppb(µg/kg)
Cheese: 0.037-1.875 ppb(µg/kg)
Firm cheese (alternatif metot): 0.120-6 ppb(µg/kg)

Assay Time: 1h and 15min (sample preparation not included)
Advantages

Choice of measuring range
High accuracy
High reproducibility
Most of the reagents ready to use
Extraction from firm cheese without organic solvents
Kit compliant with the requirements of ISO 14675:2003

Storage: +2/+8ºC
Shelf-life: 10 months from date of manufacturing
